EP 6 - I'd hug you, BUT ID STAB YOU...so just a handshake instead

The Hangry Survivor - Revenge is a dish best served cold, and with a lil'SAGE Ok, just when I had the two new tribes figured out...then there were three.  A quick RE-refresher, and whatever, it's a merge next episode so what can you do

EP5 - What the cluck?

The Hangry Survivor - Chicken tonight If there was ever a screen cap that captured this episodes vibe, it's Sage's standing within 3 feet of Shannon and trying not to puke.  Going forward, I'm going to break the tribes down into their current new colours. New-Yellow and New-Blue, I'll keep their original tribe colours in brackets so we can try to organize the subliminal politicking. A quick refresher

EP4 - Post Episode 3 and 4, No carbs? That's Bananas!

The Hangry Survivor - Bananas So in our first analysis of the fantasy season we have a dry bite that spelt disaster for the already fragile blue boiz alliance and (a first I think) someone mind gaming themselves out of a banana snack stack reward (note: fruit = carbs, Sophie (y) this is the first impression I really have of you in this game). Let's look at Ep3 briefly. Getting bitten by a potentially deadly snake, needing an evacuation for medical evaluation, and not being allowed to continue is probably not the exit Jake-bro-dude had in mind. It really put the rest of the blue folks in a bind deciding between a "longer" social connection with the bro-fecta (Sophie Blue) and the calm-cool-connected-and-Canadian (Jeremiah). I think Alex was absolutely right to play his idol, it gets him through tribal, lowers his threat and clearly something was coming with respect to mixing up the tribes (coming in with an idol others are going to find out about is not going to help your...

Pre Ep4 Snack

The Hangry Survivor - Post-Ep3 Snack session Okay, so now that my team picks are done and dusted (And thankfully survived that first tribal) time to debrief the rest of the pack in rapid fire: (In the order they present on this graphic) Nate - I really dig Nate, I think he's got a focused and easy going presence. Not "vibing" with the vernacular isn't a bad thing imo, he's going to go under the radar or be brought in as an ally to build numbers and strengthen alliances.  Jawan - Doing enough on the outside of his tribes core 4 to maybe push himself into danger territory if his tribe goes to tribal. I respect the hustle but he's being so overt about it, it can't last.  Matt - Clearly brings a lot to the table, I don't feel like we've seen much of him yet but my biggest worry with these types of players is if their ego gets the best of them. He seems to have a calm demeanour, if he can ride that and be a quiet asset on his tribe, he'll get to th...

Everyone wants to be a survivor, until they get hangry....

Hi All, This is your classic strategizing Survivor blog writing by a schmuck who wishes they could be competing on the beaches but would completely fall apart the first time it took more than 30seconds to open a coconut! It's my first year actually joining a Survivor fantasy pool, something I didn't actually realize existed until this year! I just wanted to provide a brief intro into my picks, my mindset, and how I see the season unfolding. Enjoy! ...also, hi Jeff! @Ricostravels The Cast. The Picks: In draft order. Number 1: This was not a difficult pick for me. Savannah has the demeanour of someone who has had to communicate effectively with others and gives off a internally-competitive vibe in a tribe that appears content to go along cohesively, while they're winning. Savannah is building alliances early and appears to have a sharp eye for folks she sees a loyal as well as a drive to progress in this game.  I don't think she'll fly too far under the radar but she...
